Our care team is designed with the patient in mind. Utilizing a combination of providers, certified medical assistants, administrative support, and a care coordinator, Farmingdale Family Practice Associates delivers the highest quality of care.
The CMA (AAMA) is considered the gold standard of medical assisting professionalism. The credential represents a medical assistant who has been certified by the Certifying Board of the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA).
Medical assistants are the only allied health professionals specifically trained to work in ambulatory settings, such as physicians' offices, clinics and group practices. These multi-skilled personnel can perform administrative and clinical procedures.
The Care Coordinator is responsible for all aspects of care for patients with chronic behavioral and/or health conditions, partnering with patients and their caregivers, physicians and the health care team to provide timely access to needed care, continuity of care across all settings, informed and shared decision making, and linkages to long-term supportive services and community resources.
